Roy Eugene Powell, was a lead facilitator of the Inmate Peer Education Program (I.P.E.P) during his incarceration at Ironwood State Prison in Blythe, California. Now applying that knowledge as a consultant under S.T.E.P.S (Specialized Teachings Enhancing Physical Safeguards) explains the function and purpose of the immune system in meticulous and comprehensive detail. Knowing this information allows one to understand the safeguards needed to protect against disease infection and transmission. Areas covered in this program include Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's including HIV/AIDS), Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, and Diabetes (Types I and II). The results of these teachings allow for decrease in wide-spread infections and knowledgeable insight on the prevention of contracting related diseases in various settings like correctional facilities, foster care facilities, schools, and several communities/organizations.
